Andrew Jackson Jihad release video for "Temple Grandin"

"Christmas Island" out May 6

Phil Collins - April 26, 2014

Phoenix folk punkers Andrew Jackson Jihad are set to release their fifth full-length album, "Christmas Island," May 6 on Side One Dummy Records. The band has released a music video for one of the new album's tracks, "Temple Grandin." Watching this is just as quirky an experience as you might expect from watching an Andrew Jackson Jihad video.

The band has also made "Children of God" available for streaming here and "Linda Ronstadt" here. Side One Dummy is releasing the vinyl for "Christmas Island" on three pretty cool colors: blue/pink/white swirl, purple/orange starburst and turquoise. In recent years, Andrew Jackson Jihad has transformed their live show from a two-man acoustic performance into a full-band electric show. Early indications seem to confirm what the band stated several months ago: that this album would be a full-band acoustic effort. Andrew Jackson Jihad plays the Bottom Lounge in Chicago on July 16 and Kryptonite in Rockford the next night.
